30th Wednesday  fine for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½.

31st Thursday  fine cool weather  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.

November 1st Friday  a pretty fine day for Nov  I did my choars was at the office all day & came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick.

2nd Saturday  a fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with trouble.

3rd Sunday  A cloudy & verry windy day with thunder & rain at Naperville, the wind all most blew the tops of my stacks off  I did my choars was at the home all day a choaring round the house, Roll Caroline & Mrs Stone went to H Goulds & got wet, they got home between 4 & 5  I went to bed at 9, the wind split my window blind at store & left them loos last night.

4th Monday  rather fine for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

5th Tuesday  a fine day for election  I did my choars was at the office till one came home eat dinner & went to election to Garys Mill came back to the store, Daniel Gross was elected treasurer, I came home at 9 & went to bed at 10 sick.”

27th Sunday  A cloudy misty damp day  I did my choars was at the office about 10 came home and went to picking apples & choared round Gould & wife came here, Cal & Rol came in the evening.

28th Monday  rather fine dry & cool  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & worne out with trouble, Sarah Ward went to Wheaton for a short time & some think school will learn.

13th Sunday  A fine pleasant day & warmer  I did my choars went to the store & back choared round the house picked some apples etc went to bed at 9 nearly sick H Gould & wife & Rol Willson Caroline were here to supper & stayed till night.

14th Monday  rather fine dry weather for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 10 worn out with trouble.

19th Thursday  A fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at 10  Matta Butterfield was married to __________ and Sam Bartholomew today married.

20th Friday  A fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 10 tiard & nearly sick with trouble.

21st Saturday  rather a fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at 10 tiard lonely & nearly sick with trouble  Mrs Scowel had her 5 daughter this morning.

22nd Sunday  A fine pleasant warm day  I did my choars was at home the most of the day  called at the store etc, picked some apples & choared round the house went to bed at 9 Roll Willson & wife & H Gould & wife were here in afternoon & went home the sun an hour high we went to see Ada Bostwicks pump.

23rd Monday  fine warm pleasant day & dry  I did my choars was at the office all day & came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 10 tiard & nearly sick with trouble.

24th Tuesday  fine hot dry weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 10 nearly sick with trouble & about discouraged.”

22nd Thursday  rather fine weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at about 10 nearly worne out with trouble, Wallace Jones & a Miss Taylor were married at her fathers below Naperville & Hobsons Mills.

23rd Friday  fine dry weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home about 8 ½ & went to bed at 10 nearly sick with a cold W Jones & lady went to DuPage.

24th Saturday  A fine day & warm  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at 10 nearly sick with a cold etc.

25th Sunday  A fine pleasant warm day  I did my choars was at the office after breckfust came back & choared round the house & fixed my eve spouts etc went to bed at about 9, about sick, William M Butler & children came here about 10  I put his horse out & he went with the children to Bliss & to meeting came back about 1 & then went to Bliss & Carpenter went with him & children to the burying ground, he came back & eat supper between 3 & 4 and started for Danby about 4 ½ Cal & Rol came here at night.

26th Monday  A fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed about 10 sick  Rol Cal, Mrs Stone & George went to Naperville & got back about 4 they called at Mr Goulds  George got his photograph taken.

27th Tuesday  it rained a part of the day I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick.”

24th Thursday  pretty fine winter weather & sleighing  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick Rol Willson drew wood for me  It snowed in evening & all night & hailed fell some 8 to 12 inches  Rol drew wood from Butterfield Woods.

25th Friday  A cloudy snowey morning & some forenoon had fell about from 8 to 12 inches pretty hard snow  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a  cold & cough.

26th Saturday  A cold winter day & grew cold toward night  It was a pretty cold night  I did my choars was at the store all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a cold cough bad weather.

27th Sunday  A cold pleasant day  the sleighing pretty bad  I did my choars was at the office about 11 came back & colored Russeguies hair etc called at Willsons was at office in the evening came home & went to bed about 9 nearly sick with a cold.

28th Monday  rather fine cool winter weather  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

12th Friday  cloud in morning a fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & nearly sick with a cold.

13th Saturday  T Westcott got a Jerrys  A cloudy morning & fine day I did my choars was at the office all day evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick G Sidwell came to Winfield & stayed.

14th Sunday  A fine pleasant day & evening  I did my choars churned choared round the house  picked some apples etc went to the store towards night did my choars & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold G Sidwell came while I was a eating breckfust, he was sick He came from Mrs Holmes yesterday & stayed at Winfield R Willson & Caroline went to H Goulds  R B Pollard 4th child & second daughter was born this morning.

15th Monday  rather a fine day & evening  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & sick.

19th Sunday A fine morning but some cloudy day & sprinkled a little  I did my choars was round the most of the day a choaring & was about sick went to the office about noon & back, George Sidwell was here, I went to bed about 9 tiard & sick.

20th Monday  rather fine weather but cool  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & about sick.

2nd Thursday  fine weather with some clouds I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & lonely.

3rd Friday  A fine day, some cloudy & sprinkled several times a heavey shower in evening with hail & thunder  I did my choars was at office all day & evening came home 8 ½ to bed at 9 ½ sick & lonely [in margin] Fredenhagen & wife went to biltors.

4th Saturday  Some damp in morning but a fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & nearly sick Rol & wife went to Big Woods to get some  ______________  Fredenhagen sent his wifes mother home.

5th Sunday  A fine pleasant day some cloudy  I did my choars went to office came back was round home all day choaring etc did but little went to bed at 9 lonely & nearly sick.

6th Monday  rather fine weather for the season it rained during the night  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & sick  Fredenhagen let George have 10 dollars & he borrowed five of me & went to Rockford in afternoon got there in the night & stayed round the depot till morning the heifer went to the bull for the second time.

7th Tuesday  rather a rainey day & disagreeable  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & about sick [in margin] George stayed at Mrs Thomses tonight.”

10th Thursday  fine weather for May but cool & dry  I did my choars, was at the office all day & in the evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick [in margin] Rol and Caroline went to her fathers.

12th Saturday  rather a fine day with some showers  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home a little before 9 & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard lonely & sick [in margin] Rol & Cal cleaned house at the Pelham house.

13th Sunday  A fine pleasant day with a cool air and grew cold towards night  I did my choars was round home the most of the day a choaring round, & planted some corn & potatoes was at the office in the morning, at noon & in the evening came back & went to bed about 9 tiard lonely & about sick, Carpenter & Charles Estes called here about 2 oclock Charles & his wife were on their way back to see his father in Massachusetts Caroline & Rol were a cleaning house today.

14th Monday rather a fine cool day  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick  David McNelly went back to.
