15th Wednesday  fine winter weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble [in margin] Mrs Stone went to the Big Woods Donation with the Raynolds.

16th Thursday  fine weather for winter  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly worne out with trouble  James H. Fairbanks [died] this morning about 2 in the morning.

17th Friday  rather a fine winter day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & sick James H Fairbanks was buried today.

18th Saturday  fine weather for winter  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & sick & worne out with trouble & Sister etc.

19th Sunday  Pretty fine weather for winter  I did my choars was at home the most of the a choaring round & a taking care of sister etc went to the office 3 times came home & went to bed at about 9 sick  Mrs Bliss here over night had been here for 2 or 3 days  Mrs Stone at Raynolds & went to Big Woods to meeting.

20th Monday  fine weather for winter  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 verry sick & worne out with trouble with sister etc.

21st Tuesday  fine winter weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed tiard lonely, sick & about worne out with trouble.”

8th Wednesday  fine weather & no snow  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick.

9th Thursday  fine cold weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 7 ½ & went to bed at 9 sick & wore out with trouble, there was a dance at Perrys & Mrs Stone went up to help them & stayed all night.

12th Sunday  A fine cold day  I did my choars was at the house all day & choared round the house was sick in afternoon & evening called at the store 3 times during the day went to bed about 9 ½ sick  Mrs Stone went to meeting in afternoon & to Bostwicks in evening  Mrs Grant in the _______ of evening.

13th Monday  fine winter weather without snow  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold etc.

January 1st Wednesday  fine weather for Jan. I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 7 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick  Mrs Stone went to C Owens to New Years & got home about 12 at night.

2nd Thursday  A fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day & came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick & discouraged.

3rd Friday  some stormey  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick & discouraged.

4th Saturday  rather a fine day & thaws  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

5th Sunday  A fine pleasant warm day but clouded up at night & rained in the evening  I did my choars was round home the most of the day went to the office 3 times came home & went to bed at 9 Gould & wife came here & went home about 4 the came about noon  Rol Willson called with them & stayed about an hour & left.

6th Monday  fine weather for winter  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.

21st Saturday  A stormey squalley rainey day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick and worne out with trouble  William Scott died at Griffeths tonight.

22nd Sunday  A pleasant day but very windy  I did my choars went to the office, came back  & choared round the house the most of the day went to the office 4 times wrote some in the evening & went to bed about 9 tiard and about worne out with trouble  P Graves sliped down on the ice & was found senceless near the meeting house & was carried into Mr Hudsons hurd pretty bad.

23rd Monday  fine weather for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick & worne out with trouble  [in margin] George Sidwell came back from Canada.

24th Tuesday  fine winter weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard, sick & worne out with the trouble of Sister.”

11th Wednesday  a cloudy misty morning & day & snowed some in afternoon & evening  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick  The Jerrys Pollard & Dady killed my hogs one weighed 357 the 360#.

12th Thursday  A fine day for winter  I did my choars was at the office all day came home before 8 cut up my hogs & went to bed about 11 or after nearly sick and worne out with trouble.

13th Friday  fine winter weather & cloudy  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & salted some pork & went to bed at 10 ½.

14th Saturday  A cloudy winter day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 & finished salting my pork & went to bed at about 10 tiard & nearly sick with trouble, Sister is verry worrysome [in margin] Fairbanks had his leg operated on.

15th Sunday  cloudy & snowed a little not verry cold  I did my choars was at the house the most of the day a choaring round went to the office 3 times, was at home in evening wrote some & went to bed about 9 nearly sick & worne out with trouble  Mrs Stone went to meeting at 10 ½ & in the evening H Gould & family were here at supper & Elizer Stone, Rol Willson called.

16th Monday  fine winter weather with a  little snow  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 & went to bed at  9 ½.

December 1st Sunday  rather a fine day but some cloudy  I did my choars was at the house all day a choaring round  Gould came at 2 & then went & found the colts at Galushas came home eat supper did my choars & went to bed at 9 about sick  Ada Bostwick & wife came & L V Resseguie in evening.

2nd Monday  rather fine cold weather  I did my choars was at the office all day & came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & discouraged.

23rd  Saturday  A fine day but some cloudy and a thunder shower in the evening conciderable rain  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly worn out with trouble  Caroline moved her things to Bliss & they stayed at my house over night.

24th Sunday  A damp cloudy foggy day  I did my choars was at the house all day a choaring round & fixing fence etc Caroline & Roll was here all day & night  Mrs Stone & Nelson went to Bostwicks.

25th Monday  A cloudy damp day & disagreeable rather muddy  I did my choars was at the office all day came home about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 nearly sick, Rol & Cal were here till half past 2, when Rol took Caroline to the Junction & Mrs Stone went with them Caroline left the Junction at 4 P.M for her fathers Rol came back & stayed all night.

26th Tuesday  A cloudy disagreeable day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick.”

15th Friday  fine weather but cool & dry  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ sick went to bed at 9 ½ sick & worne out with a cold  Caroline came down with Wallace & stayed all night  Rol did not come.

16th Saturday  A fine day but cool, I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble  H Potter left & went to Perrys to board  Caroline & Mrs Stone went to Naperville with their boys to get clothes & boots for them & Mrs Gould walked up here & met them.

17th Sunday  A fine pleasant cool day  I did my choars went to Bliss & the store  then got Jonathan Pollards buggy with Bliss horse & went to Wm Jordens to get Sister, but she would not come & was contarary as she could be, I came home choared round got my colt out of Garys lot got my cider down cellar etc Gould & wife came here & brught up their old Malta cat etc I went to bed at 9 sick.
