21st Thursday  fine weather & looks like rain  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.

22nd Friday  a fine warm day & looks like rain I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.

23rd Saturday  A fine warm day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with Sister  I received a letter from Wm McNellys wife & Caroline today [in margin] A letter from Caroline & Ann.

24th Sunday  A fine hot day  I did my choars & went to the store came back & took my colt to Nick Collings, then choared round the house & fixed the fence & was at the store in evening came home & went to bed at 9, Mrs Stone went over the river, Mrs Gould came up with Adda.

25th Monday  A fine day & growing time  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble & Sister.

26th Tuesday  fine growing weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & sick & worne out with Sister.

27th Wednesday  fine growing weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & sick.”

11th Monday  Rather fine I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with trouble etc had a letter from Caroline.

12th Tuesday  rather a cloudy lowerey day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick etc, sent a letter Caroline.

16th Thursday  more pleasant  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with Sister  Frank Connel died tonight with the scarlet fever  Hines baby born & Miss Green married  Hines wife had a daughter.

17th Friday  A cool cloudy day with snow squalls  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick  Recd a letter from Caroline today & wrote a letter back to go tomorrow.

18th Saturday  A cold morning & frozen  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out  Frank Connel was buried today  I sent a letter to Caroline this morning.

19th Sunday  A cloudy disagreeable morning but more pleasant during the day & very warm but some cloudy  I did my choars was at the house a choaring round all day was at the office in day & evening came home & went to bed at about 9 sick.

20th Monday  rather cold raw weather  I did my choars was at the office all day & came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worn out with Sister.

21st Tuesday  A cold raw day  I did my choars was at the office all day & came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with Sister.

22nd Wednesday  A cool stormey day  I did my chaors was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & discouraged.”

21st Saturday  A fine pleasant day but frozen in the morning  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick and worne out with Sister, I got a letter from Caroline today & Rol Willson got a letter from his wife which made him feel rather bad, but he left with me to send to her twenty five dollars, & settled with me & gave his notes.

22nd Sunday  A fine pleasant day but water was frozen quite hard in the morning, I did my choars eat breckfust went to the office & back choared round wrote some & took care of Sister etc went to office in evening came back & went to bed about 9 nearly sick & worne out with Sister, Mrs Stone went over the river to Bostwicks.

23rd Monday  A fine pleasant day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick.

24th Tuesday  A fine day for March  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a cold  Denne cut wood.

25th Wednesday  A fine rainey day & cool  I did my choars was at the office all day & came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.”

3rd Sunday  A cloudy & verry windy day with thunder & rain at Naperville, the wind all most blew the tops of my stacks off  I did my choars was at the home all day a choaring round the house, Roll Caroline & Mrs Stone went to H Goulds & got wet, they got home between 4 & 5  I went to bed at 9, the wind split my window blind at store & left them loos last night.

4th Monday  rather fine for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

5th Tuesday  a fine day for election  I did my choars was at the office till one came home eat dinner & went to election to Garys Mill came back to the store, Daniel Gross was elected treasurer, I came home at 9 & went to bed at 10 sick.”

27th Sunday  A cloudy misty damp day  I did my choars was at the office about 10 came home and went to picking apples & choared round Gould & wife came here, Cal & Rol came in the evening.

28th Monday  rather fine dry & cool  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & worne out with trouble, Sarah Ward went to Wheaton for a short time & some think school will learn.

29th Tuesday  A fine cool day & dry  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.”

20th Sunday  A fine hot dry day, the ground is verry dry, I did my choars was at the office about 9 & R B Pollard cut my hair  I came home and choar house & choared round picked apples etc was at home all day & went to bed about 9 sick  Abner Stone & Emma came & wrote a letter for Mrs Stone.

21st Monday  rather a fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a _________ Edward Monk & Adda Germain were married this morning at 10 & started to Michigan.

22nd Tuesday  rather fine weather for Oct  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ about sick.”

14th Monday  rather fine dry weather for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 10 worn out with trouble.

22nd Thursday  rather fine weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at about 10 nearly worne out with trouble, Wallace Jones & a Miss Taylor were married at her fathers below Naperville & Hobsons Mills.

23rd Friday  fine dry weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home about 8 ½ & went to bed at 10 nearly sick with a cold W Jones & lady went to DuPage.

24th Saturday  A fine day & warm  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at 10 nearly sick with a cold etc.

25th Sunday  A fine pleasant warm day  I did my choars was at the office after breckfust came back & choared round the house & fixed my eve spouts etc went to bed at about 9, about sick, William M Butler & children came here about 10  I put his horse out & he went with the children to Bliss & to meeting came back about 1 & then went to Bliss & Carpenter went with him & children to the burying ground, he came back & eat supper between 3 & 4 and started for Danby about 4 ½ Cal & Rol came here at night.

26th Monday  A fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed about 10 sick  Rol Cal, Mrs Stone & George went to Naperville & got back about 4 they called at Mr Goulds  George got his photograph taken.

27th Tuesday  it rained a part of the day I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick.”
