Quilt donated by the Tuesday at the Tavern ladies

A big thank you to the Tuesday at the Tavern ladies!

At the Historical Society’s January 4th board meeting, the Tavern ladies made a special presentation of a Warrenville quilt and donated the quilt to the Museum’s collection.

Linda Kurcz (left) and Linda Spicer (right) present the quilt to the Historical Society, surrounded by other members of the Tavern ladies.

The quilt blocks that make up this quilt were made by deceased Warrenville resident Alice Conforti.  The Tavern ladies assembled the blocks into a quilt, and we are very happy to have this piece of local history in our collection.

A big thank you to all the members of the Tuesday at the Tavern ladies: Suzanne Fox, Sharon Goodman, Giann Inskeep, Cathy Kimber, Linda Kurcz, Pat Marcus, Callie Morris, Carol Rasmussen, Melanie Smith, Linda Spicer, Martha Tabis, Joyce Verseput, and Cheryl Weston.  The quilt was completed December 2010.
