Hiram E. Leonard Diary, March 1 – 6, 1866

March 1st Thursday A fine pleasant day & evening I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & sick with a cold Adason Warren came down in the stage.

2nd Friday rather a fine day but some cloudy & grew cold I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & about sick, lonely.

3rd Saturday rather a cold day for March I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick.

4th Sunday A fine pleasant cool day with a cold air and thawed some in the sun but froze in the shade I did my choars was round the house a choaring & writing all day went to the office at night came back & went to bed about 9 tiard & about sick.

5th Monday rather fine cool weather like March, I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard lonely & nearly sick with a cold.

6th Tuesday rather fine weather for March I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard lonely & nearly sick.”
