Hiram E. Leonard Diary, February 1 – 7, 1866

February 1st Thursday fine for winter I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick & lonely.

2nd Friday A pretty cold day & night I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed 9 ½ sick.

3rd Saturday a cold day thurmometer at 10 degrees below zero in the morning I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & sick or nearly so.

4th Sunday A cold pleasant day The thurmometer was 4 degrees below zero in the morning & cold all day & night I did my choars was at the house all day except going to office twice I choared round fixed fence a little & went to office in evening wrote some & went to bed about 9 nearly sick.

5th Monday fine weather for winter I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & sick.

6th Tuesday a fine day for Feb & good sleighing I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick.

7th Wednesday fine weather for winter I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard lonely & nearly sick.”
