Hiram E. Leonard Diary, July 29 – August 4, 1863

29th Wednesday  A fine pleasant day & evening. I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 1/2 . Dan Perry died A Coats died at Murfeesboro today.

30th Thursday  rather a fine day & evening. I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ 105th Regt left Murfeesboro for __________.

31st Friday  rather fine weather & dry. I did my choars was at the office all day & evening. I came home about 7 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

August 1st Saturday  fine weather & dry. I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick. Mrs Potter went to Israel Kenyon, he carried her.

2nd Sunday  rather a fine day & dry. I did my choars was at home all day & evening called at office & Hoyts, made some current wine went to bed about 9.

3rd Monday  rather a fine day & evening. I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick.

4th Tuesday  A fine dray day. I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.”
