Hiram E. Leonard Diary, December 20, 1862

20th Saturday  rather fine weather for winter but some cloudy hailed some during the night with frozen rain, I did my choars was at the office all day & evening & about sick in afternoon & evening came home between 8 & 9 & found Sherman Willson & wife here & David McNelly after Caroline & Hat, Shermans horses got away & he went home after them a foot & she stayed all night, I went to bed about 10 sick.”
