Thank you

The Historical Society would like to extend a big thank you to Steve Hyett who presented “When Trolleys Rode the Prairie Path” about the Chicago Aurora & Elgin railroad that used to run through Warrenville at our Annual Meeting on Monday, September 10th.

Steve gave a great presentation full of images of the rail-line that is so fondly remembered by those Warrenville residents who used its electric cars to get to work, school and for fun.

Steve also graciously presented the Historical Society with a CA&E sign that was very characteristic of the train line and warned those around it to be careful of the electrified “third” rail.

Thank you very much to Steve for a great presentation and for the piece of history that will live on in our museum!
