Went to the Hotel and got a cup of black tea which made me revive.  At three oclock a train of returned soldiers came in & the air resounded with their shouts.

I was favored rather unexpectedly with a “sick leave” & returned home, reaching there at 6 o’clock & found the folks in bed.”
