Hiram E. Leonard Diary, August 3, 1862

3rd Sunday rather a cloudy day & pretty warm with a cool air.  I did my choars was at the office an hour or two, came home between 10 & 11 wrote some choared round picked some currants etc was at the office towards night & Hoyts came home about 9 & went to bed tiard & about sick with a cold.  Waterman came to office & paid me $95 in United States money for oats.”
