Hiram E. Leonard Diary, May 19, 1862

19th Monday  rather a fine day & evening.  I did my choars was at the office all day & in the evening came home by Hoyts & Wrays about 8 & got home before 9 & went to bed about 10 tiard & about sick.  Ed Brown went to Hilliard Brown to get his boots fixed & found the door fastened, he rattled round & after a while Hilliard came & let him in & looked frustrated & Mrs Samuel McKellips set there with her shawl on it was in forenoon—[in margin]  Sam McKellips wife was at H. Browns with him & door fastened.”
