Hiram E. Leonard Diary, April 1, 1862

April 1st Tuesday  rather a wet muddy morning  broaken through the day I did my choars was at the office all day & evening came home a little after 9 & went to bed about 10 nearly sick being worn out with Sister & laying on lounge  R. B. Pollard got home from Michigan & came & stayed with me an hour.  Germane was elected Justice.”
