Hiram E. Leonard Diary, January 26, 1862

26th Sunday  rather a fine cold morning, the Murcury stood in the thermometer in morning 10 degrees below zero, a pretty fine day but cool & cloudy, I did my choars called at Bliss & Hoyts came home & was at home the most of the day, a choaring round got Sister home about 3 or 4 oclock.  I did my choars etc.  Wm McNelly & Wray & wife went to H. Goulds about 10 & got back about dust.  I called at Hoyts & Wrays in evening came home about 8 & went to bed between 9 and 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold & trouble.”
