Hiram E. Leonard Diary, November 28, 1861

28th Thursday  Thanksgiving, rather a fine day but some cloudy & frozen rain.  I did my choars, was at the office all day & evening came home by Hoyts & called at Wrays about 8, Saw Elizabeth & had a talk with her & Wm about her going to the boarding house, came home about ½ past 8 & went to bed nearly sick with a soar throat for several days.”
