Hiram E. Leonard Diary, September 7, 1861

7th Saturday A cool cloudy misty morning with squalls from the northeast, brook away towards noon was quite cool & pleasant in afternoon & evening. I did my choars was at the office all day & in the evening came home by Hoyts about ½ past 8 & got home about 20 minutes of 9 & went to bed a little after 9 tiard & nearly sick. Hannah McNelly went to Bloomingdale to the Methodist Sundy School Celebration with A Gould and Rosett Beardsly went to with some one, & left sister all alone & me to get her & my victuals.”
