Historic Fourth Street District Walking Tour, September 25, 2011

On Sunday, September 25th at 4:00 p.m., the Warrenville Historical Society will be leading a walking tour of Warrenville’s Historic Fourth Street District.

Tour groups will be led from the Warrenville Historical Museum & Art Gallery, located at 3S530 Second Street, east on Warrenville Road, north on Fourth Street, west on Main Street, and south on Batavia Road to Warrenville Road back to the Museum, all while hearing about the historic buildings along the way, including the former home of Col. Julius Warren located at 28W310 Main Street, the oldest frame home in DuPage County, built in 1834.

This event is free for Historical Society Members.  The general public is welcome to attend the walk for a fee of $2.00 a person.  Refreshments will be served at the Warren Tavern and the Museum & Art Gallery will remain open until 5:00 p.m. Please join us to learn the histories behind some of the earliest buildings in Warrenville.  Event will be reschedule in the case of inclement weather.  Please contact us with any questions: info@warrenvillehistorical.org or 630-393-4215
