Hiram E. Leonard Diary, September 1, 1861

September 1st Sunday  rather a fine warm cloudy day & began to thunder soon after 12 & began to sprinkle near one and we had quite a little thundershower & rained during night.  I did my choars was at home the most of the day a choaring and wating on sister, called at the store, Hoyts & Wrays during the afternoon, came home & went to bed about 9 nearly sick.  Hannah Mc went home with Pinkey Roset went to Georges, rained some during meeting.”
